Description: For sale is a vintage Japanese silk embroidered tapestry brocade art piece in great condition - with very nice glistening threads and stunning details. It comes with it's original plastic stand; the horizontal post of the stand has a minor repair (that's not visible when it's used for display). The character shown is the mythological Japanese wind god, Fujin, a powerful elemental deity in Japanese mythology. This delicate tapestry with gold thread background is about 12.75" tall by 10.5" wide. It is another half inch tall with the stand. The base of the stand is 5.25" wide by 2.5" deep. I bought this artwork souvenir during my visit to Japan in the early 1980's. It was on display in my home for a while and then stored (for decades). The photos are of the actual item.
