Description: The Toby jug pitcher was modeled after the character “Toby Belch” in Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”. The fine English figural toby jug/pitcher is brightly colored and portrays “Toby” appearing to take snuff from his hand. The piece measures approximately 8” x 4-5/8” and is stamped Allertons est. 1831 on the underside. This appears to show normal crazing commensurate with the vintage age and is considered to be in very good vintage condition. A great find for the collector or treat yourself!
