Description: Beautifully made MICA pottery pot from the Ohkay Owingeh (San Juan) Pueblo. Meticulously incised with kiva steps, mountains and rain in the manner of the ancient Potsuwi'i from around 1400-1500 AD. This pot is believed to be from between 1925 and 1945. This pot is in wonderful condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs. Only minor scuffs to the applied MICA slip. It measures approximately 8" wide and 9-5/8" tall. It is a heavy piece weighing nearly 5 pounds. Please review the photos as they are part of the description. This piece is coming from a smoke-free home and will be double boxed using new, heavyweight boxes and appropriate packing materials to help insure its safe arrival. It will be sent with standard insurance and tracking by either USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail, your choice. The shipping costs are determined by eBay and the US Postal Service. We do not add any additional costs for packing materials or our time. Additional insurance to increase coverage to $700 has been added as a handling charge at a USPS cost of $12.70 . If you do not want the extra insurance or prefer coverage for a lessor amount please contact us before we purchase the shipping label so we can make the adjustment.
