vintage Movie-Jecktor Film & Box ** BUCK ROGERS 25th Century A.D. ** Series 115

Description: Here is an old entertainment item. This is a Movie-Jecktor film, titled " Buck Rogers 25th Century A.D.", manufactured by Movie-Jecktor Co., New York City. The first part of the film has further identification asBY STEPHEN SLESINGER N.Y. and SERIES NO. 115. Original box is included, which has original sticker on it reading Montgomery Ward with some other numerals and letters. Box is well worn. Movie-Jecktor film is a dual comic strip style film, made of a hard some what translucent paper, probably made in the 1930's era or so, that can only be played in the specialized projector made for this film. When the handle on the projector was turned, it resulted in a simple animation film projection. It is in color and has no sound. The film strip is around 3 to 4 foot long or so, and wound on a wooden spool. Neat old artwork! Unfortunately, many of these did not stand the test of time; they are somewhat fragile and can be easily damaged. Probably not a lot of them around anymore. NOTE: the glass paperweight shown in the photos IS NOT included in the auction; it is only being used to help hold down the film for display purposes, the film tends to want to curl up on the roll. The auction is for the film roll and box shown in the photos. Vintage used, complete and looks playable; noticed a couple of tape repaired areas along the edges; also looks like there was a tape repair at the very start. Box is well worn and has damage, with original vendor sticker. Has the original attachment strip at the start of the film. This will make a nice addition to your collection or library.
