Description: This is a rare and wonderful Vintage Old Mid Century Modern Florida Key West Seascape Painting, watercolor on watercolor board, by renowned Mid-Century California - Florida painter, Frank M. Hamilton (1930 - 1999.) This piece is signed and dated: "Frank M. Hamilton 1960" in the lower right corner. Additionally, an artist's label on the verso titles this piece as: "The Turtle Boat...Key West, Florida...Newport Beach, CALIF." This painting depicts a gorgeous and meticulously rendered coastal Florida scene, with a large ship, and several small paddle boats nearby. A tan, shirtless man, holds a paddle in a nearby boat, commanding the attention of the viewer. This work likely dates to the 1950's - 1960's. Approximately 29 1/2 x 37 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 22 x 30 inches. Good condition for age, with some light paint loss to the canvas, and chipping, material loss and edge wear to the original period vintage frame (please see photos.) Acquired in Pasadena, California.
