Description: For sale is a truly classy and timeless offering from legendary Swiss watchmaker Universal Geneve. UG’s reference 542145 is a perfect dress watch for everyday wear. It features a tremendous 18k gold plated case and stamped crown, with an equally luxurious gold sunburst dial. The dial is clean and uncluttered, presenting roman numeral hour markers, the UG insignia, and two incredible skeletonised dauphine hands that just elevate this simple piece entirely. Obviously, the elephant in the room is that the watch has a huge crack across the crystal. I wish I knew how this happened, as it could possibly have come with an amazing story, but I bought it like this because it had character. The rest of the piece is actually in really good condition; even the caseback sticker is still present. It works well and can still be worn, but obviously its not at all waterproof so you would have to be careful. If I were buying, I would spend the money and have a replacement crystal made probably.
