Description: I purchased this coat in a bulk lot of military gear from a Korean war veteran. The lot also had additional gear from WW2 with what I believe is a brother-in law’s name written on it, so I’m assuming this coat was either from WW2, or was leftover surplus from WW2, but I would say that it’s highly likely that this coat was worn during either of those foreign conflicts. The coat is in fantastic condition for its age. The only damage perceivable would be on the coat’s inspection tag, which deteriorated pretty well and hides the manufacture date from me. Thankfully, the Army was kind enough to stamp the coat size on the collar along with what appears to be clothing id marks of some kind. The id marks do not match the ones on the hanger, but I will still include it because it’s period accurate, and looks nice with the coat. I do also want to mention, that I did go through the trouble of getting this coat dry cleaned prior to creating this listing, as I figured it would be more appealing if it didn’t smell as strongly of closet storage and dust. I should be able to get this coat shipped out immediately after purchase (work and post office hours willing), and I’ll take care to ensure that it’s packaged in more than a plastic bag like those other people selling vintage clothes. Feel free to ask me any questions you have, and I’ll do my best to answer them, Thanks!
