Based on a design by Roseville Pottery, the base is deep coffee brown, glazed over with shades of brown, beige and cream. The slightly elongated shape makes this piece a lovely addition to your tabletop, an excellent flower vase, or a piece to display on its own (or with the rest of your collection).Measurements: Height: 6", Width: 4", Depth: 4 3/4This piece is in excellent vintage condition. There are barely visible signs of wear on the bottom, otherwise there are no cracks, chips, damage or repairs. The USA mark is under the glaze. -----------------------------------------------------About USA Pottery Marks:Although there are many famous and easily identifiable of US potteries and art pottery studios, there is a vast number of US pottery pieces that are marked with only "USA" (or not marked at all). There is not one single USA Pottery Company. Beginning in the 19th century, most pottery was created to be used in everyday life, and makers rarely marked these pieces. As pottery techniques matured around the turn of the 20th century, many larger potteries were formed – a number of which began producing artistic works. As pottery and ceramics became more artistic and distinctive, companies and studios began to mark and sign pieces more often so that artists’ works could be identified and recognized.
