VINTAGE ZUNI SIGNED FRANCIS LEEKYA STERLING SILVER MUSSEL SHELL DANGLE EARRINGS

On offer is an authentic vintage pair of ZUNI dangle earrings composed of hand fashioned mosaic flat channel inlay iridescent Mussel Shell. These earrings are Hallmarked STERLING with the pictograph Eagle Head of FRANCIS LEEKYA (deceased 2003) son of the historically renowned Old Man LEEKYA DEYUSE. We believe this outstanding pair was created circa 1970's or perhaps earlier. These fine dangle earrings were expertly crafted with attention to detail in the Zuni tradition and are in very good vintage condition (see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). This unique pair has sterling silver ear posts with new ear clutch/nuts hallmarked RGF .925 that are in good working order. The beautifully hand cut and polished flat inlay Mussel mosaic shells are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The Mussel shells are firmly and securely set within the silver. These ZUNI earrings measure approx. 1 1/2" long x 7/16" wide. The weight of the pair is 3.5 grams - .115 ounce TOTAL..
