Description: Inspired by the rich, variegated color and handcrafted authenticity of Spanish Saltillo tile, 1977 saw the introduction of two related McCoy/Nelson patterns, " Mesa" and " Canyon." Differences were minute, having to do with slight variances in the shininess of the glazes, so the two patterns are now sold and used pretty much interchangeably by collectors. Here we have a nice, smaller lot, consisting of the coveted 12 1/4" chop plate, the stylish, 9 5/8" square dinner plate, and the bottom of the butter dish, which can be used as a replacement piece or as a HTF underplate for small sauce pots or a petite hors d'ouevres tray all on its own. Pieces are in EUC with no chips, cracks, rubs, stains, utensil wear or other condition issues. The intentional texturing and irregular, spattered edges lend themselves to a weathered look and promise many more years of 70s-style serving panache. Vintage, Western-style lot ships USPS Ground Advantage from Los Angeles.
