Item Description: This auction is for an old World War 2 era Japansese bayonet that was recently purchased from a local estate. From the markings on the blade it looks to have come from the Matsushita Kinzoku KK Arsenal. The bayonet measures 20" long total with a blade length of 15.7". The blade shows finish wear and tarnish. There is some pitting on one side in a few areas (see pics 11 & 12). The guard piece and metal part of the handle show finish wear and tarnish as well. The release button does work. The wood handle pieces look heavily worn with some dents, dings and scratches. The bayonet comes with the metal scabbard shown. It has several dents in it along with heavy finish wear and some raised rust areas along with some pitting and tarnish. The top band screw looks pretty rough. I doubt it would come out easily (see last pic). Please take a look at all of the pictures for condition. Please check the shipping estimate before bidding. We DO NOT offer free shipping.
